HELP MY BOY!
Rebel. My wonderful, amazing, puppy! My husband and I bought him from a breeder at 6 weeks old. And now, he is almost 19 weeks.. He has been diganosed with a very rare form of diabetes, called Diabetes Insipidus, here on referred to as DI. He requires weekly vet visits for urinalysis, and dosage adjustments to his medication. He will have this disease the rest of his life. Without his medications, he can suffer electrolyte imbalances, and kidney failure. And eventually he can die. My husband and I have cut things out of our life, to provide for Rebel. We have even maxed out a credit card. As of now, we are torn, trying to find more ways to pay for his veterinary expenses, or to just let him go. My husband just got back from his 2nd tour in Iraq, and we searched endlessly until we saw Rebel's face. And 1 week before my husband came home, we purchased our little man!! And now we may have to lose him! Our vet bills weekly range from $60.00 - $160.00. And his medication was $140.00 but we found it for $69.00 a month. If you can find it in your heart, to even donate a dollar, we would greatly greatly appreciate it. We aren't ready to let him go! It isn't his time. I know it's not. He is just a baby, and I know he could have a great life. We wont need help forever. We are trying to enroll him in a "financial aid" program to help assist us with his bills. And we could use help until our application is cleared.
